<p>The Konkuk University Hospital has originated from ‘Academy of Social and Commonwealth Health Care’, a free and actual expenses hospital at Jongno 2-ga built in May 1931 thanks to the effort of 33 representatives of the March First Independence Movement and people from various circles. </p><p>To respond to the sudden change of medical environments and provide a high-quality medical service, it started to build a hospital building with a scale of 800 hospital beds at the site of Seoul campus in 2002 and completed construction in 2005. The new hospital, owning 13 floors and 4 floors underground with the gross area of 85,687㎡, has a high-tech medical equipment and complete computerized system.<br></p>
